A Brooklynite by birth Brother Jim spent his early years playing stickball and going to confession every Saturday afternoon. After College he married and started raising 3 children. In 1978 he knelt down in an auditorium while on a bible based retreat and his life was never the same thereafter. To this day he has found strength, hope and guidance in God's written word as enlightened by the Holy Spirit. From the Charismatic renewal in the Catholic Church, to independent Pentecostal Churches to a Long Island based Calvary Chapel and finally to a local meeting of the Society of Friends, Brother Jim has allowed the Holy Ghost to lead him through life on a path that has slowly allowed the fruits of the spirit to manifest themselves in his everyday life. Of course every day reveals another area that needs tilling and dunging and sometimes stubbornness raises its head to resist God's pruning, but God's grace has been sufficient so far.
In the late 1990's Brother Jim started putting the messages God gave him into song and he later learned to pick a few chords on a guitar and bring what God was telling him to others. Mostly of a folk nature involving biblical truths and real life stories, these messages have been well received by those who have heard him at local Long Island Christian coffee houses, churches or have happened upon his earlier mp3 web site.
